Community Groups

We have an increasing variety of groups for you to try - some gather around a cause (The Neighbourhood, Community Meals, ESL, Bible Study), others are affinity based (such as cycling, life stage, gender or geography).

Our community groups vary in size, purpose, frequency and shape but each group shares a commitment to be spiritually vibrant, transformational and active in extending the Kingdom.

Life is better together…

If you would like to find out more about a Community Group near you, or are interested in starting a group in your neighbourhood, please contact our Community Life Pastor - Jason at jasonleong@granvillechapel.com or sign up below.

– our facilities are open for small groups to meet. If you are needing a big space to gather with your micro community we’d like to support you in this way. You can email the office if you’d like to book a room for this purpose –

Community Groups

  • WESTSIDE COMMUNITY GROUP

We’re a welcoming mix of singles and couples in our 50s and 60s who gather weekly to grow in faith and friendship. Our group rotates between homes in Vancouver’s West Side, creating a cozy and familiar atmosphere for conversation and connection. Each week, we dive into the Granville Chapel sermon guide, using it as a springboard for discussion, reflection, and prayer.

  • EVENINGSIDE

Eveningside continues to be a group of women who love to share life and laughter together as we study God’s word on Thursday evenings, learning from each other’s insights as the Spirit is speaking in our preparation for each week’s study. Praying for one another as well as things and situations larger than our little lives has once again been an important part of our time together. Part of that is now also starting our study time with a worship song as well as trying to be quiet together to allow the Spirit to move our hearts and hear God speak into our lives based on what we have heard in the Scriptures.

DNA Groups

Seek to accomplish:

  • Character formation through the confession of sin in the context of trusted, mutually accountable relationships.

  • Reading of Scripture (individually and in community)

  • Strategic Evangelistic Prayer

  • meet once a week, or bi-weekly for 1 hour

  • are gender specific (not Co-ed)

  • have no curriculum or workbook

  • are peer-led

  • are designed with multiplication in mind

  • require no training

There are only 2 criteria for starting or joining a DNA group:

  1. A desperate need for Jesus (Luke 5.29-32)

  2. A commitment to the process itself (2 Tim. 2.2)

That’s it, they really are that simple!

Granville Chapel DNA groups are an invitation to relationship, not an invitation to another program or course.

We would love you to join with us in this exciting adventure that is life in Christ - so that together we might become all that The Lord intends us to be.

For more information on joining a group, please contact us.
