A Full-Circle Moment

with Pablo Clase Jr.

Pablo Clase Jr. reminds the people of Granville of their deep ties with the Dominican Republic, highlighting how church planting efforts that began in the early 1920s have grown into a network of 125 churches. These were established through the work of missionaries sent by the Brethren Assemblies and Granville Chapel. It’s a full-circle moment for the Protestant churches in both Canada and the Dominican Republic.

A Long History

with The Shannons

Sheila was 15 years old when Granville Chapel began and she was there for the opening service. John and Sheila were commended by Granville Chapel and Kitsilano Gospel Hall in 1958, to serve as missionaries in the Dominican Republic. Listen to their story, which combines their memories of Granville as a young church, the difficulties and joys of missionary life, and what Granville Chapel has meant to them over the last 75 years.

Faithful Journey

with Bill Kent

From humble beginnings in Alberta and Penticton, a journey unfolded that would lead to a life deeply intertwined with God’s calling and the global church. Early influences came from a mother who found faith through an evangelist and a father who later became a believer, shaping a home where faith was central. The path led through various churches and communities, from Penticton to Vancouver, where connections with Granville Chapel and West End Gospel Chapel would prove pivotal—not only for spiritual growth but also for meeting a life partner and nurturing a shared passion for missions.
