Alicia Brummeler is a writer, speaker and teacher. The Brummeler family attended Granville Chapel in the early 2000s. She is the author of “Everywhere God: Exploring the Ordinary Places”, chronicling her discoveries about the goodness of ordinary, everyday faith. She currently teaches English at The Stony Brook School on Long Island, New York and has received The D. Bruce Lockerbie Aware for Excellence and Commitment to Teaching and Scholarship.

Craving some time for quiet and reflection in your daily life? Join Alicia as she teaches some simple practices to help you cultivate a deeper walk with God. Bring your favourite pen and journal. Thursday June 14th 7-9 p.m. at the home of Heather Lim, 1392 West 49thAvenue@Cartier. Cost: $20*.

2. Coffee with Alicia Brummeler: Finding Space for God in Everyday Life
The weekly spiritual boost from Sunday church attendance just wasn’t enough! Frustrated, and wanting more, Alicia embarked on a journey to find God in the everyday. She will encourage us with her insights on making space for God in the ordinary rhythms of life. Saturday June 16th at Granville Chapel, Fireside Room. 9:30-11 a.m. Copies of Alicia’s book available for $15.
