Welcome to our Children’s Ministry! We are glad you have joined us. Families and children are warmly welcomed at Granville Chapel.
is our Sunday morning program for children in Preschool through Grade 5. It is an upbeat, Bible-based morning that helps kids build a foundational relationship with Jesus.
Our Children's Ministry is run by Susan Robertson. Please refer to our staff page to get in contact with her.
On Sundays, children begin the morning with their families in the Worship Service at 10:00am in the main sanctuary.
Then, at about 10:30am, all children in Preschool through Grade 5 will be invited to go upstairs with Leaders to the KingdomKids morning!
Mini KingdomKids (Pre-school: Ages 3 and 4)
Come and learn about the Bible and Jesus in our friendly Sundaymorning program!
Preschoolers spend time together in a small group, learning through multi-sensory activities (Bible reading, singing, playtime, crafts) about our awesome God, His son Jesus Christ, and His Word the BIBLE. Leaders are friendly and dedicated to helping your child feel comfortable and secure during this special time together.
Mighty KingdomKids (kindergarten through 5)
KingdomKids uses the BIBLE for its curriculum!
Join us for an upbeat morning Bible-teaching, singing, games, activities and crafts!
Dedicated, responsible adults and youth lead the children through a morning focused on growing deeper in their walk with Jesus and in their friendships with each other. We welcome the children, sing, play a game and introduce and teach the Bible passage for the day. Then, children have a chance through discussions, crafts, and other activities to think further and learn more about the Bible passage and main point of the day. Through this important time in their week, they have an opportunity to discuss, ask questions, and grow closer to Jesus. They also have an opportunity to get to know their Group Leaders and other children in a meaningful way.
Once or twice every quarter, we have a “Service Sunday” morning. We work as a group on a practical service project that helps others in need. Through our connections with local missions like UGM and oversees missions working with children and families, we are able to “put our faith into action” and contribute towards the needs of those less fortunate than ourselves.
Babies and Toddlers
Caring and responsible adults and youth care for your babies and toddlers up to age 3 while you participate in the Sunday morning service.
Parents are welcome to leave their children in the Nursery for the whole service, starting at 9:50 am. Please ask one of our welcome greeters for directions to the Nursery.
Sometimes our little ones just don’t want to let us go! If parents wish to stay with their babies for the first few times, they are welcome to do so. We have live video of the worship service (and fresh hot coffee!) for you if you are not able to sit in the main sanctuary. As well, all sermons are recorded and are available online.
OTHER ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN
During school holidays and on some Saturdays we host additional activities for children. Bible Fun Times, Games Afternoons, or Craft and Activity Times are just some of our ideas. Let us know if you have an idea for a group activity.
This job is not for the faint of heart! Would you like to meet other parents and get some support and help with your role as a parent? We offer parenting courses and workshops frequently and invite you to join us. Email Susan Robertson for more information: email@example.com
