A vibrant church with a desire to impact our city and the world with God's transforming love, Granville Chapel is searching for a Worship Pastor. This is a part-time (20-hour week) position.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the Sunday Worship at Granville Chapel in a way that honors God and draws out the people in spiritually vibrant worship
- Coordinate, direct and train the existing worship teams, and also the sound team and powerpoint operators
- Develop the worship service towards excellence, and expand our range of creative possibility through different media and the Arts
- Validate and bless the diversity represented by the congregation, both cross-culturally and multi-generationally, and ensure that the worship is accessible to all
- Operationally control & direct the Sunday services
- Responsible for maintaining and upgrading equipment related to music ministry
Additional Responsibilities
While Sunday is the key focus of this position, as a community there are many potential contexts for worship. Engagement with our many ministries to develop our capacity as a worshipping community is encouraged.
Education and Experience
- Theological Education to at least a Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience of leading worship in a range of church contexts
Skills and Attributes
- Musical ability and training highly desirable
- Candidate must be proficient both vocally and instrumentally
- Proven leadership ability in a worship context
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage teams of volunteers and to develop their skills and gifts
