Associate Pastor - Discipleship | Feb 2008

A vibrant church with a desire to impact our city and the world with God's transforming love, Granville Chapel is searching for an Associate Pastor - Discipleship. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as key support for Lead Pastor and share overall responsibility for running an effective church
• Preach approximately 20% of Sunday sermons
• Mobilize and equip leaders of pastorates and home groups
• Nurture volunteers and disciple/mentor new believers
• Develop prayer ministry
• Research Home Group study materials

Education and Experience

• Theological training from a recognized, accredited college
• 3–5 years ministry or related experience, including preaching
• Pastorate development experience a definite plus

Skills and Attributes

• Track record of mobilizing, motivating and developing volunteers
• Effective in planning, organization, implementation and administration
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Visionary and spiritually mature
• Team player, integrity, strong work ethic
• Energy and enthusiasm
